Yesterday

Yesterday, my day started with this:
I took pictures for a friend of mine that is pregnant (more to come soon!)

Followed by lunch here:

Then I headed to:

Followed by a visit to Studio 77 to pick up my mom a birthday present. I was shocked to get this fantastic present from one of my parents.
Sara started my bracelets as an end of the year gift (she gave me the c (cody), a (Amanda) and t (todd) as well as a silver beaded bracelet and a blue and yellow bracelet (school colors). I fell in love and quickly bought a grey bracelet and another silver beaded bracelet. I have picked up her son (Emmett from daycare a few times when she can't get there in time from work. So she thanks me with the filler bracelets. I was so excited!

While I was at Studio 77, I got a call from Cody. I couldn't understand him because he was stuttering and carrying on. Long story short: our puppy was ready to come home! He wasn't supposed to be ready until July 8th so we were THRILLED!

I promise more pictures to come soon :)

Gauge

On Saturday, Cody received a call he has been waiting on for a few weeks now. He has been researching dogs and adding a new member to our family. A local breeder called him to say that we could pick up our Boykin Spaniel in two weeks. Me being me, wanted to go meet him. So Cody and I went Sunday to meet our precious puppy. So in less than two weeks, we will have a 4th member in our family. Meet our Gauge :)

Family Time

I have been trying to talk my aunt into visiting for awhile now and I finally convinced her to come. Aunt Pam is my dad's sister. She brought with her two of her three boys. We had a relaxing weekend with beach time, cheering on the gamecocks, plenty of eating and some more beach time. I am so glad Aunt Pam, Luke and Mike came to spend time with us with Mom and Carson. Here are a few pictures from Saturday night.

Summer

I just realized how long it's been since I blogged. Thanks Anna for reminding me :)

This summer is the first time in nine years that I am "free". I had always heard it was a perk of teaching ;) i so enjoyed my classroom and my kiddos this year in my room. I was exhausted though and needed the first week of summer to catch up on sleep. I have also made a goal to organize my life. I am a type a (and very anal!) but have lost some of that this year. I started the organization part on pinterest the first week of summer and decluttered my boards. I wrote down recipes to try and I made one a night as well as a desert a night :) I also made a list of craft projects to do for the house and my classroom. So far I have done five of the projects. I guess that relaxation didn't last long.

Last week I started my summer job. I am babysitting two of my kiddos from first baptist. Jacob will be in third grade next year and Katie will be in kindergarten. There is a picture of them below when we went to the pool last week.

I have a ton more to say but that's all for tonight :)

Dead

My computer died Friday after I uploaded a bunch of pictures. I am behind on blogging and I have a TON to blog about. I guess today I will start with my new ideas. Last night I organized my pinterest pins. I was trying to decide what recipes I love to record them and I made a list for what I needed to make some new recipes. I also made a list of projects to complete this summer. Some of them are for my classroom and others are for our house. I started with some recipes and my first project today ;)

Wrap

It's a wrap. The school year has officially ended. It was my first one and it was awesome. It hasn't hit me yet that my kids won't be back Monday. Last night one of my students had a birthday party and some of my class was there. I cried at car rider duty yesterday morning seeing them get out of their car for the final time but I didn't when they left on the buses since I knew I would see them at the party. Cody said when we were leaving the party and a few of my students were crying that it just hadn't hit me yet I am in agreement. I was so lucky to have such great kids, families and coworkers. Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way :)

Here is a college I made that has pictures from graduation of the kids I have permission to share their pictures :)
