Yesterday, Cody and I spent the day at a festival at Market Commons. It started around 8 and we didn't leave until after 6. It was such a gorgeous day! The event was sponsored by Ground Zero. Its a group that brings people to Christ. Cody rowed for The Matthew Bellamy Project. It is a local organization who is providing gun locks for unsecured firearms. Please click
here to learn more about them. Each dragon boat had 21 rowers. The MBP had 3 boats. I was working in the tent and running around getting pictures. I took 600 on Mylissa's camera and 159 on mine. Here are a few of the favorites :)
Each team went twice. The lowest time determined if you went to the finals. The youth boat raced first then the other two boats raced together later in the morning. The second round was held after lunch.
There was a break for lunch and Mylissa spoke.
The the games started with the second round. Following the second round, the MBP 1 and 3 were eliminated based on their times but MB2 made it to the finals.
Cody took this one of me..
