Weekend

My grandparents came in Friday to celebrate Nana's birthday but also for the bridal shower. We had fun together (like always!). Nana and I started at the bridal shower on Saturday. Then we went to Target and Walmart and TJ Max. I was looking for some classroom stuff. Grampy said he was getting me a refrigerator for my classroom as a Congrats gift! So we set off. Nana was looking for my first day outfit. We made a deal in walmart though for her to get me my reading corner supplies and a few extras at Walmart. Thank goodness! Can't wait to share pictures of the room!

Pampered Chef

I had my first bridal shower today. It was so much fun! I highly recommend a Pampered Chef shower to any bride! I got to create a registry. The consultant, Penny, told me to create around $1,000 worth of stuff. I never thought I would get that much! Then at the shower, I was the cook. We had about 20 people there. I invited my closest friends from First Baptist, NMBP, and thirty-one. My director, Holly, and thirty-one BFF, Patsy, threw me the shower. I will be the very first person to tell you that I am not the best cook but I had so much fun. Thank you so much to everyone who came, purchased, and spent time with me.

My first shower was so much fun!! Not only did my friends stock their personal kitchen but they stocked mine also!! Since I was the hostess of the party, I got just at $500 in free stuff plus the gifts people bought me! Cody will be so excited when he enjoys the meals..words are not enough to thank you for stocking our kitchen!

Goodbye

Today, was my last day at First Baptist. While I am extremely excited (words cannot express how happy I am) to start teaching, I was not prepared to say good bye to my kiddos. Yesterday was hard. Today was hard. Boy do I love those stinkers! Please do not misunderstand-my dream is coming true. I am a teacher.

The day started out like any other Friday. I had a countdown to 5:30 because my grandparents (mom's parents) were coming into town and taking Cody and me to dinner at Bonefish to celebrate all the big changes. My grandma's birthday is also tomorrow and I have my very first bridal shower tomorrow. Sorry, I digress. I was excited that it was Friday but dreading saying good bye (I am not good at good byes). So, its starting out like any other on the playground and morning snack.

We had a photo session in between.

Then I go to lunch (which I must admit was with a very handsome man, he looks like this:
he also happens to be mine :) makes him even more handsome!

Then, we fed the kids lunch and had quiet time. (Bare with me, I have a point for the step by step.)
Some of the kids fell asleep today
We normally have snack around 3:30 during the summer. Sissy came upstairs (she was on "break" setting up the party) to tell me to bring the kids down for snack at 2:30. I knew something was up. Boy was I surprised! I walked into a surprise good bye party from the whole center. I was so excited and shocked to be greeted by all the kids. The 3's and 4's with teachers were there as well as the director and Asst. director. Sissy ordered me my favorite cake from Cakes by the Sea (chocolate with peanut butter filling) that was zebra! Enjoy the pictures because it was a great surprise! I love my CDC family!

My after school kids that were there today! Love these kiddos!

Thank you is not enough for my kids, parents and coworkers. Its been a great two years!

Wrap :)

My mom shared this quote with me, "Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes."

This week I have gotten some pictures of the CDC kids. We haven't had most of the kids this week because of vacations or different reasons. I can't believe after two years, tomorrow is my last day. I have really enjoyed my time at the center. Today, I was hugging some of my kids that won't be in tomorrow and it was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. The kids I started with in Kindergarten are now rising 2nd graders. My older ones are leaving in just a few weeks because they have become too old for the program. Its insane how much these kids grow year to year in personalities and academically. I can't wait to contribute to 22 young brains this year but I surely will miss the 30+ I have worked with over the past 2 years..Love to my CDC family! Enjoy these pictures and the ones I will post over the next few days..

WILW

Link up with Jamie to join in the fun of WILW :)

I'm loving..my classroom! It is slowly but surely coming along :) I have a lot of stuff I need to start working on but I did cut out all my word wall words today! Sissy put them in ABC order for me while I was cutting.
I have a lot left so stay tuned..I am not sure I am in love with any part of set-up right now but I am loving moving around :)

I'm loving..wedding stuff! I met Elizabeth at A.C. Moore to get some stuff for my hair clip for the wedding. I have known Elizabeth since middle school and enjoy being around her. She is such a happy person and always has a smile on her face. We both graduated from NMB and Coastal. We are also both teachers. She just got engaged recently so we have a lot in common :)

I'm loving..my new treasure box!
Elizabeth found it at A.C. Moore and I really liked it. I forgot to get a picture of it before I started painting..
