I got so much done in my room today. I actually felt relief about 8 tonight when I realized I crossed off more today than I added! WOO HOO!! About 2:00 this afternoon I didn't think that was possible. If you are a teacher, you completely understand this :)

On my lunch, I went to visit the CDC. I have been missing my kiddos from after school at the CDC. They will always be mine in my heart :) Plus it was this pretty ladies birthday!

I was almost trampled with hugs from my kids and had tears of joy from Sissy! I miss them. I am loving my new position and can't wait to meet my students Thursday but I miss my old crew too! I guess that always happens with changes. I must say though that I feel so incredibly welcomed from the staff at NMBP also. So many teachers have shared, printed, copied and laminated stuff for me. I am so blessed to have the 1st grade team that I do. There are 16 of us and boy are they an awesome group!

Back to my room...

Cody came and ate dinner with me and helped me fix some things :)

Goodbye

Today, was my last day at First Baptist. While I am extremely excited (words cannot express how happy I am) to start teaching, I was not prepared to say good bye to my kiddos. Yesterday was hard. Today was hard. Boy do I love those stinkers! Please do not misunderstand-my dream is coming true. I am a teacher. 

The day started out like any other Friday. I had a countdown to 5:30 because my grandparents (mom's parents) were coming into town and taking Cody and me to dinner at Bonefish to celebrate all the big changes. My grandma's birthday is also tomorrow and I have my very first bridal shower tomorrow. Sorry, I digress. I was excited that it was Friday but dreading saying good bye (I am not good at good byes). So, its starting out like any other on the playground and morning snack. 

We had a photo session in between.

Then I go to lunch (which I must admit was with a very handsome man, he looks like this:

he also happens to be mine :) makes him even more handsome!

Then, we fed the kids lunch and had quiet time. (Bare with me, I have a point for the step by step.)

We normally have snack around 3:30 during the summer. Sissy came upstairs (she was on "break" setting up the party) to tell me to bring the kids down for snack at 2:30. I knew something was up. Boy was I surprised! I walked into a surprise good bye party from the whole center. I was so excited and shocked to be greeted by all the kids. The 3's and 4's with teachers were there as well as the director and Asst. director. Sissy ordered me my favorite cake from Cakes by the Sea (chocolate with peanut butter filling) that was zebra! Enjoy the pictures because it was a great surprise! I love my CDC family!

Thank you is not enough for my kids, parents and coworkers. Its been a great two years!

This week I have gotten some pictures of the CDC kids. We haven't had most of the kids this week because of vacations or different reasons. I can't believe after two years, tomorrow is my last day. I have really enjoyed my time at the center. Today, I was hugging some of my kids that won't be in tomorrow and it was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. The kids I started with in Kindergarten are now rising 2nd graders. My older ones are leaving in just a few weeks because they have become too old for the program. Its insane how much these kids grow year to year in personalities and academically. I can't wait to contribute to 22 young brains this year but I surely will miss the 30+ I have worked with over the past 2 years..Love to my CDC family! Recap of CDC

Last week was a lot of fun with the CDC. Be prepared for a lot of pictures showing all of the adventures :)

On Tuesday, we took the kids to A.C. Moore.

Each day this week, 5 day club visited. They are young adult leaders that share the message of God with the kids. They love it!

On Wednesday, the Surf Rider Foundation came to share with us the importance of keeping our beach clean and sharing some information with us on how to keep it clean!

On Friday, the kids put on a talent show for the center (3's and 4's)
