Yesterday

Yesterday, my day started with this:

I took pictures for a friend of mine that is pregnant (more to come soon!)

Followed by lunch here:

Then I headed to:

Followed by a visit to Studio 77 to pick up my mom a birthday present. I was shocked to get this fantastic present from one of my parents. 

Sara started my bracelets as an end of the year gift (she gave me the c (cody), a (Amanda) and t (todd) as well as a silver beaded bracelet and a blue and yellow bracelet (school colors). I fell in love and quickly bought a grey bracelet and another silver beaded bracelet. I have picked up her son (Emmett from daycare a few times when she can't get there in time from work. So she thanks me with the filler bracelets. I was so excited!

While I was at Studio 77, I got a call from Cody. I couldn't understand him because he was stuttering and carrying on. Long story short: our puppy was ready to come home! He wasn't supposed to be ready until July 8th so we were THRILLED!

Family Time

I have been trying to talk my aunt into visiting for awhile now and I finally convinced her to come. Aunt Pam is my dad's sister. She brought with her two of her three boys. We had a relaxing weekend with beach time, cheering on the gamecocks, plenty of eating and some more beach time. I am so glad Aunt Pam, Luke and Mike came to spend time with us with Mom and Carson. Yesterday my friend, Anna, posted about McDonalds and now I can't get the song out of my head haha! This is the reason for my title and sort of my reason for my post :)

Today, I got a delivery of my supply order. WOW!! WOW! WOW!!! I LOVE these buckets. I am typically a very organized person and I have felt kind of scattered the past two/three weeks. Today, I spent the afternoon organizing, sorting, filing and dividing my room. Boy was I excited! These bins have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on them with five folders in each. I will put math, phonics, reading and responding, science/ss and an extra section label on each of them. I was so excited to get this set up and start filing stuff :) Its the little things sometimes that can make your day!!

When my mom was here this weekend, she brought my bench. I paid $3 for this bench last year at a yard sale. It was a god awful shade of green with an ugly/messed up seat cover. Mom threw away the seat cover and started from scratch with remaking it and then sanding and repainting my bench! It is so cute! Thanks mom!

Middle School

My sister started middle school today.

WOW! 

Cody's advice for her was: 

1- Don't beat anyone up

2-Have only one boyfriend at a time

(Cody has been my boyfriend (soon to be hubby) since she was 2. So he knows her like I do and loves her like I do. They are basically brother and sister-not in laws)

While she didn't beat anyone up (she was a nervous wreck) and didn't find a boyfriend, she did have a great day!

I was in the 7th grade when she was born so I have been there for each stage of her life. It is insane to me that she was starting kindergarten when I started college. Today, she started middle school and I started first grade. I started as a teacher though :)

 In a week, I will have a classroom full of 23 new students! I can't wait!!

Weekend

My grandparents came in Friday to celebrate Nana's birthday but also for the bridal shower. We had fun together (like always!). Nana and I started at the bridal shower on Saturday. Then we went to Target and Walmart and TJ Max. I was looking for some classroom stuff. Grampy said he was getting me a refrigerator for my classroom as a Congrats gift! So we set off. Nana was looking for my first day outfit. We made a deal in walmart though for her to get me my reading corner supplies and a few extras at Walmart. Thank goodness! Can't wait to share pictures of the room!

5 things Friday

I missed 5 things Friday last week but I wanted to catch it again this week. Link up here with Sara (a friend of mine from high school).

1. Today, we only had 16 kids. I got pictures of each of them in a different spot this morning. I got off at 12:30 for #2.

2. After I got off, I ran to my apartment to meet Cody and grab him and Coco. We hopped in the car and drove to Columbia to surprise my grandpa for an early birthday present. My grandfather (my Mom's Dad) lives about 1 mile from my parents. His birthday is on Tuesday. Grampy didn't know we were coming. Cody said this is a lame gift but Grampy was excited!

3. I finished week 2 of 4 for school. I am halfway done!! WAHOOOO!!!

4. My mom and I went to the grocery store once I got to Cola. This is one of my absolute favorite things to do with my mom. I hate going normally but when I am with my mom, I enjoy the trip. I normally hate going because its overwhelming to me since I don't normally cook (even though this week I made dinner 4 nights). Normally, the reason I hate it is because I get stuff and try to make it work together but feel like I always throw something away. I need to learn tricks from my mom!

5. Now, we are watching the Gamecock baseball game. Carson just put sharpie on her face to cheer on the cocks! She is a hardcore fan. I am ready to go get my ear plugs and grab a book-she is too loud for me!

Busy Busy

I have a ton of stuff I want to blog about but school has taken over my life so tomorrow my WILW will be amazing...well maybe if I finish this work :)

By the way, I want to officially announce since I forgot yesterday, that my fiance started his new job with the city of NMB and I am super proud of him! Go Cody!! More details to come soon!

Also-I took a break for a few minutes from school stuff and facetimed my sister again. Tonight I got to talk to my dad. The look on his face when he realized my face was on my sister's ipod touch was hilarious!! It started with a confused look then turned into this:
