Last week, my goal was to get furniture moved. CHECK :)

Today, my goal was to get a few boxes unpacked and start moving things into their space. CHECK :)

Tomorrow, my goal is to get my cabinets organized...hopefully!

My stress level had started to rise with things I needed to get done and how busy the next few weeks are with family vacation and my thirtyone conference. So my goal was to get some things rolling in my room so I was prepared..right! If you are a teacher, you know the lists gets longer instead of shorter.

Open House

Open House was tonight at NMBP. I had such a great time meeting my 14 new students. I can't wait to meet the rest of them on Monday (I was missing about 9 of them).

I had about 4 families come to visit from the CDC! It was so nice to see my old parents and kids. I enjoyed meeting my new kids!!

Thank goodness for my future Mother In Law..she fed me dinner tonight! It was nice to not cook :)

Folders

I got so much done in my room today. I actually felt relief about 8 tonight when I realized I crossed off more today than I added! WOO HOO!! About 2:00 this afternoon I didn't think that was possible. If you are a teacher, you completely understand this :)

On my lunch, I went to visit the CDC. I have been missing my kiddos from after school at the CDC. They will always be mine in my heart :) Plus it was this pretty ladies birthday!

I was almost trampled with hugs from my kids and had tears of joy from Sissy! I miss them. I am loving my new position and can't wait to meet my students Thursday but I miss my old crew too! I guess that always happens with changes. I must say though that I feel so incredibly welcomed from the staff at NMBP also. So many teachers have shared, printed, copied and laminated stuff for me. I am so blessed to have the 1st grade team that I do. There are 16 of us and boy are they an awesome group!

Back to my room...

Cody came and ate dinner with me and helped me fix some things :)

Whew

Cody and I had such a great time with my parents and sister this weekend. I have so many pictures to share. I had a lot of fun with nature. We saw dolphins on the beach and deer in the backyard. So needless to say, I have a lot of pictures. I won't bore you with all of them and I also won't bore you with them tonight. I am tired after a busy day. On the way back from Isle of Palms Cody and I stopped at Piggly Wiggly and Teachers Touch. Then we came to my apartment to unload and go to work in my classroom for a few hours. Then we went to Sams. So its been a lot of running around. I found some great stuff at Teachers Touch. I didn't need much but just a few odd 'n ends.  I found them and enjoyed a teacher's discount with no tax (since its no tax this weekend in SC).

When we got to my classroom, Cody hung my clips for the Imagine It! cards and re-hot glued my number line where it fell.

He even got my welcome sign up :)

So I know this isn't much but I am ready for bed.

Room 612

Wow. I am truly humbled. I made some great friends at NMBP in the Spring. Some of these great friends came and helped me in my room today! Around 9 when I walked in, Mrs. Ward and Kristin were ready to start helping move the rest of my curriculum in my room. Anna joined us soon after and we were busy all day! I should have taken a before picture of the messiness of my room. There was stuff everywhere!

Thanks to my friends. My mini-vacation will be very enjoyable this weekend! I am so excited my room is almost ready!
