Fun Friday

Today was an awesome day with tons of great parts and tons of pictures to share.

It started off with celebrating the royal wedding at school. My Guest name was Lady Margie Coleman of Arabella Way. Figure out your name with this equation:


What is your Royal Wedding guest name? 1 - Start with either Lord or Lady 2 - Your first name is one of your grandparents' names. 3 - Your surname is the name of your first pet 4 - Summed up with "of" plus the name of the street you grew up on.

Then I broke the news to all my BURST students that they "graduated" from working with me since they were such great students and had shown so many advances the past 2 months*almost 3 months. I am getting a whole new group of kids on Monday. The following are two notes I got from my students :)

It says: You are the best teacher in the Eath (earth).

It says: I love you Ms. Findlay so much!

Then I enjoyed lunch with one of my previous BURST students. She got lunch with a friend from her R card and picked me :)  All of my students got bouquets of Dum Dums as the last bit of candy from me.

After NMBP and working at the CDC, Cody and I went to watch Charlton's baseball game. Cody told Charlton on Sunday that he would come to his game tonight. He is a great 1st baseman!

Date Night/Errand running

Not that I haven't said it before but my life is crazy right now. This week I am getting to catch up on some stuff with HCS on Spring Break. Tonight when I got off from a full day at CDC, Cody and I ran to Walgreens (I had to get his Easter basket stuff) and then we went to the mall to pick up something my sister ordered when my family was here in March. Afterwards, Cody and I decided to go to Logans..

Cody was a bit aggravated...he ordered the Roadhouse Deluxe BURGER..he got chicken the first time and was happy when it came out correct :)

Then after our dinner, I stopped at Tanger at one of my favorite stores Christmas at the beach. Its also on Facebook. I was in last week to get my easter decorations and the owner ordered me two more of the Silvestri for my (future) classroom :) I started buying Silvestri my junior year of college. I add a Christmas piece yearly (ornament or wall art) but just recently found this store to get the other seasons. Its a great store not only for Christmas but many other seasonal items. Now to work on grad school and prepare for Wednesday :)

Spring Break CDC Style

This week while HCS is on Spring Break, I am full time at the daycare (minus the hours I have grad school). Today we started off by dying eggs. Here are some of the pics :) I can't show pics of all the kids dying eggs since I don't have permission from parents but these are the kids that I have permission from parents..Enjoy!

After we dyed eggs, I had to leave for class. Then I met Cody at Groucho's Deli. Loved enjoying dinner with my fiance :)

Fundraising we go!

Today started VERY early! I got up at 4:15 to be in NMB at 5:30 for a yard sale for the afterschool program. We try to eliminate extra costs for parents (for field trips or supplies). Sissy and I were both there with the extreme help of Kim, Selena, Dawn, Sissy's son, and Cody.

Its always nice catching up with friends/previous coworkers. This week Sissy and I were thrilled to get a visit from our After schooler friend Ms. Nillie!! She is visiting all the way from Cali!

Nillie also had Mia (her daughter) who has grown so much in the 10 months they have been gone!! So happy to have you home Nillie!!

Loving my job

If you have been around me the past few weeks, you know I am loving my job at NMBP. I have never in my life felt so welcome at a new job. I have loved my job as a reading interventionist. The point behind this is the people I have met and the things I did not realize I knew. I feel that in just the month I have been working there, I have grown as a teacher. Today, I started my 5th week and it was another great day followed by a great day at school! I started this blog just because I loved reading one of my coworkers. I found out tonight it can actually be used for my multi-genre project for school! This is just a great concept to me...I get to gab and it counts for school!

Off to finish some school work..'til tomorrow :)
