Announcement

I figured out the beginning of November that one of my friends had a big secret. She was pregnant but was nervous to tell anyone until the end of her first trimester. December 11th I met her, her husband and their dog for a pregnancy announcement photo shoot. I have waited to share the news until they were able to release it to their families. Baby Martin will be here in June 2012. Congrats to the Martin family on their soon to be addition!

A little background on Sara and Chad. Chad is the golf pro at Spring Valley in Columbia. This is the reason we used the golf balls to spell out we are expecting. The dog's name is Cosmo and is their first child (as any true pet owner knows haha). Sara works for Nationwide. Cody and I have become friends with them over the past few years and are so happy for them!

Can't wait to meet the baby Sara and Chad!

Cola

We packed up our stuff and headed to Columbia today. We are spending the weekend with my family for Christmas and then off to Disney Monday for our honeymoon :)

Thanks Cory for taking care of our apartment the whole time we are gone! What a great brother in law that I have.

Here is a shot of coco riding in the car today.

Anniversary

One year ago I had no clue the journey that was about to begin. I knew Cody had a ring but I didn't think it would be that day he would choose to propose. Cody had the ring about four days and was a nervous wreck anytime I was around him. He asked me to marry him in the sweetest, most considerate way after dinner with a few friends. I thought he was about to pass out though (haha). Tonight, we are going to dinner at that spot with 2 of the same people we were there with last year as well as some of our bridal party. After all, our bridal party was our closest friends. While that may sound cheesy, its the truth. Our bridal party were the people that have known Cody AND me since before we were us (minus two people that Cody and I both love that have been added in 1-from a marriage to my friend and 2-college education classes/friendship that has grown over the years). We had a few others we could have added though :)

Today is also two months I have been married to my husband...thank you goes to Cody for believing in me and being there always. I am thankful for you everyday but especially today :) We haven't got a signature on our contract yet for our house but we were promised it would be today. The seller was out of town but fingers are crossed that the 22nd is another lucky day for us :)

Pictures will be coming tomorrow from dinner but in the meantime, hope everyone has a great day.

I never thought the boys would be able to pick me up but I love these boys-I was missing one of my ring bearers in this picture but I love how all the faces are in this picture (minus mine haha)

Love this man and so happy to be celebrating two months today!

Fingers crossed

We put an offer on our house Monday night. Then yesterday afternoon, after a battle of numbers between real estate agents, we came to an agreement on our future house. Cody and I will be homeowners in the beginning of February 2012!! Please keep us in your prayers during this next stage of our life as husband and wife!!

Celebration

Today was our winter celebration (and last day of school for TWO weeks)!
This is the gift my kids left with:

Each child got 3 books, a poem with a candy cane, a picture frame with our class holiday card (for parents), an ornament they created in a station, reindeer food and reindeer handprints.

Today is the final day of school until January 4th..whew! Excited to enjoy Christmas with our families and go on our honeymoon :)
